Paul Fairbairn has been writing since he was eight years old, which is longer ago than he cares to mention in polite company.

He works primarily in the horror and thriller genres, and his first novel, Dark Places, recently made its debut on Kindle, along with a collection of short stories, Shadows and Dust. His second novel, The Mysteries, was published in June 2016.

Paul is also an experienced musician, with a wealth of gigging experience under his (studded) belt. He's played guitar in a variety of bands since his teens, covering everything from blues and jazz, to rock and metal. He's threatening to publish The Art Company, a memoir of his time in a rock band in the 1980s, though the wearing of leather and spandex is optional while reading it. It's possible that every copy will come with a free can of hairspray.

Paul lives and works in the north east of England with his wife Elaine, and Barney, a ferocious bear disguised as a Jack Russell dog.
